1. Who we are
C4tchy Academy is an AI-powered cricket coaching platform built and operated by C4tchy Pty Ltd, an Australian company. When we say "C4tchy Academy", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean C4tchy Pty Ltd.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our platform or visit our website. It is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
2. What data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the C4tchy Academy service:
- Account information: your name, email address, and phone number (used for account verification)
- Videos you upload: coaching videos together with metadata (discipline, shot type, player name, upload date)
- Player profiles: player names, dates of birth, and optional profile photos you add
- Subscription & billing data: plan type, billing history, and payment method details (card details are held by Stripe — we never see or store them)
- Usage data: videos uploaded this month, credits used, analysis counts
- Authentication tokens: session tokens tied to your device. We do not store passwords in plain text.
- Communications: messages you send us via the contact form or support email
We do not collect health information, biometric data for identification, ethnicity, religious beliefs, or any sensitive information beyond what is listed above.
3. How we collect it
- Directly from you when you create an account, upload a video, add a player profile, or contact us
- Automatically during normal use — session tokens and usage counts are recorded as part of service operation
- Through AI processing — videos you upload are sent to our AI providers to generate coaching analysis
- Through Stripe — payment processor that handles subscription billing and top-up purchases on our behalf
4. Why we collect it
We have a lawful purpose for each category of data, in line with APP 3:
- To provide and operate the service — storing your videos, player profiles, and coaching reports
- To generate AI coaching analysis — sending videos to our AI providers to produce biomechanical feedback
- To manage subscriptions — processing payments and enforcing plan limits
- To verify your identity — using phone or email verification to secure your account
- To respond to you — using your contact details when you request support or send feedback
- To improve the service — understanding how features are used (no personal identifiers in analytics)
- To meet legal obligations — retaining records as required by applicable Australian law
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build profiles for marketing purposes. We do not sell your data.
5. AI processing of videos
When you upload a video, it is sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini and/or Anthropic Claude) to generate biomechanical coaching feedback. Key facts about this processing:
- Videos are transmitted over an encrypted (TLS/HTTPS) connection
- Under our agreements with Google and Anthropic, your data is not used to train AI models
- Videos are stored in Cloudflare R2 (cloud object storage). Your videos are private and accessible only to your account.
- AI analysis is not always accurate. You are responsible for reviewing coaching feedback before relying on it.
By uploading a video, you consent to it being processed by our AI providers for the purpose of generating coaching analysis.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or marketing platforms.
We share your data only with service providers who help us operate C4tchy Academy, and only to the extent necessary for their specific function. All providers are based in the United States:
